The church pastors must ensure that the funeral business can function even if energy supply, internet and telephony disappear.
The church has also decided that there must be available cemetery land to bury a total of 5 percent of Sweden's population and the planning must be based on coffin burials because the crematoria may stop working.
Around the country, parish priests are now taking stock of where they have available cemetery land.
