As a politician, Katja Nyberg has met Mats Löfving via political transparency councils.

She now expresses strong criticism of the investigation by Löfving and how it was presented.

- I think it's terrible that you can hang another person out like that.

Sure, he wasn't innocent, he's been a jerk and so on, but for the sake of it, you can't do it that way.

Take S side

SD has wanted to replace the national police chief Anders Thornberg for some time, but according to Nyberg, has so far not received explicit support from the other Tidö parties.

Is it the right time, isn't it in a crisis that you need to gather?

- How long will we gather?

In the business world, he had to go all at once, says Nyberg.

"Cultural problem"

But changing the police chief is not the whole solution, she thinks, pointing to cultural problems.

Former MP member of parliament Martin Marmgren also sees flaws in the culture.

- We must have a culture broadly but also in the leadership that is characterized by a stable ethical compass where you can proactively raise difficult issues and not be reactively driven by reports in the media and end up in situations where employees can be exposed, says Marmgren.

He thinks the police must learn from their mistakes.

- We need our own lex-Maria that creates a structural learning and an own supervisory authority that can carry out supervision and deal with issues such as Easter riots or personnel matters.

Damaged trust

SSU chairman Lisa Nåbo, with a background as a police officer, believes that trust in the police has been damaged.

- This has been a painful situation for the entire authority where the credibility of the police is rightly questioned.

I hope that this will lead to consequences, that the police and the Work Environment Agency investigate this so that we learn from it.
