Increasingly pressured situation in Bachmut: "The Russians are making small progress all the time"

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned as recently as yesterday that the situation in the city is becoming increasingly difficult.

SVT's Ukraine correspondent Bengt Norborg describes the city as symbolically important.

- It has become a symbol of the Ukrainian resistance.

They have said several times that they will not give up on Bachmut.

- It has also become a symbol for the Russian side because they have not had any major successes for a very long time.

They have been trying to take Bachmut for seven months.

For the Russians, a victory here could be used as a propaganda victory at home.
