For the first time, the director of the FBI in the United States, the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, has publicly stated to the media that the source of the new coronavirus is likely to have leaked from a laboratory in Wuhan, China.

The Biden administration has said that there is no final outflow conclusion, but there is a lot of interest in this remark.

FBI Director Wray said in an interview with Fox News in the United States on the 28th that the source of the new coronavirus was ``the FBI has assessed that it is highly likely that it was an accident in a laboratory in Wuhan.'' For the first time, I publicly expressed the view that it is highly likely that the virus leaked from a Chinese laboratory.

After that, Secretary Wray criticized China, saying, ``It seems to me that the Chinese government is trying to obstruct investigations by the US government and others and obscure the truth.''

As for the source of the virus, another US media outlet said the FBI and the Department of Energy also believed it was likely that the virus originated in a laboratory, while several other agencies believe it came from animals. As such, it is reported that views are divided even within the government.

The White House has said it hasn't made a final decision as to the source of the outbreak, but the FBI director's remarks are of interest.
