The police were alerted at half past seven about the shooting.
- There were several people out walking their dogs who heard gunfire and called the alarm, says Ola Österling, press spokesperson at the Stockholm Police.
The police found a man with a gunshot wound in central Rissne, outside a residential building.
He is seriously injured and has been taken to hospital.
The police have a big effort on site, says Ola Österling.
- We have all the resources the Stockholm police have in place.
We have pickets, scouts, dogs and helicopters.
The shooting is being investigated as attempted murder.
