The 50-year-old man was fully acquitted in the Court of Appeal after he was sentenced to three years in prison in the district court.

In the judgment, the Court of Appeal writes that they believe the description of the event, but that it was unclear what the girl meant by the word "snip" in the police interviews that were played in court.

They instead refer to the Swedish dictionary's description of the word as "female external genitalia".

Anna Kosztovics, who is behind the word, is critical of the decision to acquit the 50-year-old man based on the uncertainty surrounding the meaning of the word.

- They have as much power as they want to understand if they want, and it is terrible that they have ignored it, she says.

Launched in the early 2000s

"Snippa" was launched in the early 2000s when Anna Kosztovics worked at RFSU.

The idea was to create a word that would be the equivalent of boys' "cock".

- The word snipe was needed because all other body parts have a name, she says.

She is proud to be the one behind the word and says she is happy that today there is an established term that children and parents can use.

- The idea was all along that it would just live on completely naturally, and that's how it turned out, I think it's pretty cool actually, she says.

"Terrible that they neglected to understand"

Anna Kosztovics is clear that the word should be understood as a collective name for the entire female genitalia.

- "Snippa" is the equivalent of an adult woman's "pussy", and there is never anyone who thinks "is it the inner or outer parts?", she says and continues:

- A 10-year-old knows without a doubt that there is a hole, so it is silly to question it, she says.

Now she wants to see the case taken up in the Supreme Court.

- I don't know what I'll do if it doesn't go to the Supreme Court, I'll probably organize a rebellion.
