Pentagon: State Department approves possible sale of Javelin missiles to UK

“The proposed deal for the sale of these missiles will serve to support US foreign policy and national security goals by enhancing the security of our NATO ally, which is an important force in the context of political stability and economic progress in Europe,” RIA Novosti reported.

On February 3, the US Department of Defense announced the allocation of a new military aid package to Kyiv worth about $2.2 billion.

The aid package will include air defense systems, munitions for Javelin anti-tank missile systems, and "conventional and longer-range missiles" for HIMARS.

Earlier, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov warned that the Russian army would destroy any weapons supplied by Western countries to Ukraine.
