“The armed forces of Belarus are not directly involved in the special operation, but their combat potential, backed up by the contingents of the joint Russian-Belarusian group of troops on the territory of the republic, is a serious deterrent for the Ukrainian regime,” TASS quotes him.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko earlier expressed confidence that at the moment there is a unique situation in order to end the conflict in Ukraine.
At the same time, the authorities in Kyiv do not agree to a ceasefire, they believe that Russia will “use it to freeze the conflict” and become stronger.
