According to the agency, the focus on Artyomovsk has misled many military experts, since, according to Bloomberg, the city is allegedly not considered an important logistics hub.
At the same time, Artyomovsk is a “symbolically important city”.
It is noted that the capture of the city will be a step towards Russia's complete control over the Donbass.
It is also reported that the Ukrainian authorities are "signaling" that Artyomovsk will soon become impossible to defend, so the Armed Forces of Ukraine may leave the city under the onslaught of Russian forces.
