The operation in Årsta is singled out by the police as one of the most crime-ridden hotels in Stockholm.

Documentation obtained by SVT shows that a large number of sex purchases and an attempted murder took place at the hotel in the past year.

For rent in several stages

In recent years, the property has been rented out to the company Eco Living AB, which had a turnover of around SEK 20 million in 2021. They have in turn rented it out to a third party - TTS Holding AB - without the property owner's knowledge.

The arrangement where the premises are rented out in several stages has made it difficult for the police to hold the hotel owners accountable.

Eco Living's CEO states to SVT that he had no knowledge of crime taking place on the company's premises.

He believes that it is TTS Holding AB that is responsible for the business.

They in turn reply that they knew of some incidents, but not that there should have been widespread crime.

Hotel guest: "Shameful business"

American Brianna Brewster recently applied for temporary accommodation in Stockholm due to work.

Via a website, she got an apartment in what turned out to be the hotel in Årsta.

- There were constant power outages, cockroaches in the room and the electronic lock stopped working so I was locked out.

Everything just felt like shady business, she says.

After two weeks, Brianna moved out as she felt unsafe in the hotel.

TTS Holding AB then refused to pay back the approx. 30,000 kroner that she laid out, and the case is now with the Crown Bailiff.

According to the property owner, Eco Living has now been dismissed from the premises in Årsta as soon as it was found out that irregularities had occurred at the hotel.
