The spokesman for the PP campaign committee, Borja Sémper, confirmed this Monday that the leader of his formation, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, will not attend the debate on the motion of censure that will take place in Congress so as not to participate in the "circus". and the "performance" of Vox which, in his opinion, is a "ball of oxygen" for the chief executive, Pedro Sánchez.

This has been pronounced at a press conference after the PP management committee shortly after Vox has registered its motion that will be headed by the independent economist Ramón Tamames, collected by Europa Press.

In it, Sémper has accused Vox of going to the "media rescue" of Pedro Sánchez at the moment of "greatest weakness" of the Government of PSOE and Unidas Podemos.

"This is going to mean a breath of fresh air and a media rescue to divert attention," he stressed, adding that the Prime Minister is "delighted" with this initiative by those of Abascal.

Thus, he has said that in this debate "Vox's tactical interests" will be elucidated on the one hand, and those of Sánchez on the other hand, which are not those of all citizens.

When expressly asked if Feijóo will attend that debate, Sémper has responded emphatically: "Of course he will not attend."

Podemos and partners are considering ignoring Tamames

On the other hand, Unidas Podemos and other government allies in Congress, such as

ERC

or

EH Bildu

, are studying responding with a common strategy to Vox's motion of censure and are considering disregarding Tamames with minimal interventions by spokespersons to degrade the political scope of the debate and explain that it is a "little show".

The talks began last week, when it was confirmed that Vox and Tamames had reached an agreement and that the motion of censure would be presented this Monday.

It was ERC that took the initiative and began to poll other allied parties to see what they would do: whether not to intervene in the debate, whether to do so minimally, or whether to act normally.

In their retina is the brief speech made by the PNV spokesman, Aitor Esteban, in Vox's first motion of no confidence, with Abascal as a candidate.

Just a minute in which he was emphatic in despising the debate: "We did not contribute to this nonsense."

For its part, the PSOE has already said that it is going to take Vox's motion "seriously" and is considering a very different strategy: use the debate to charge the PP and expose it for its possible future pacts with Vox after the May elections.

That is why the Socialists advocate delaying the debate as long as possible and taking it, if possible, to April, as close to the start of the pre-campaign of the regional and municipal elections.

Meanwhile, Unidas Podemos is holding open talks with its allies and to this day there is still no consensus on the strategy to follow.

"Given the grotesque, the little show and the ridiculousness that this motion of censure supposes, it should not make us waste too much time, neither the groups nor the population in general," said the co-spokeswoman for Podemos, Alejandra Jacinto, who, although she did not

want

to yet to reveal what they will do if they have made clear their reading of that debate.

For Podemos, the motion of censure responds only to a "competition" between the PP and Vox to see who occupies the front pages of the newspapers saying "more atrocities" or making a "more delusional and delegitimizing" speech.

For this reason, he has completely disregarded his interest, pointing out that the country's problems lie in mortgages or the shopping cart.

"The motion of censure shows that the Spanish right has run out of ideas and that the time has come to make a fool of itself," he pointed out in his criticisms during a press conference together with the also national co-spokesperson, Pablo

Fernández

.

The PSOE insists on attacking Feijóo

For their part, in the PSOE and in their quota of Government they insist on the message that they face the motion of censure "with seriousness and respect", although they take advantage of the circumstance to attack the leader of the PP.

According to the deputy secretary general of the party and Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero,

Alberto Núñez Feijóo

has ended up "advancing on the right" his predecessor,

Pablo Casado

, "and that was difficult."

Both in Ferraz and in Moncloa they criticize that the Genoa national leadership has already announced that it will abstain in the vote in Congress so that there is an Executive "that could eventually be chaired by the ultra-right."

The unanimous message that will be repeated over the next few days is that "the only possible answer is a resounding no."

"The masks are over. Feijó blesses the pact, but is removed from the photo. It is the modus operandi to which we are accustomed, but this no longer works," Montero stressed, giving as an example "the demonstration of Colón to which he does not attended", but "encouraged" his electorate to go, and about the coalition government with Vox in Castilla y León that allowed it to be formed without publicly supporting it.
