The Prime Minister began her visit with the stand dedicated to the Overseas Territories, accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture Marc Fesneau.

She must then go to several regional stands, in particular that of Normandy where she was elected deputy last June.

She will then have lunch with professional agricultural organisations.

The head of government will then participate in a round table with ecological planning actors, during which she should in particular specify the outlines of the plan on pesticides announced on Saturday by Emmanuel Macron.

She will end her visit with a meeting with the breeders.

This is Ms. Borne's first visit to the Agricultural Show since her appointment at Matignon.

The only woman to have held the post of Prime Minister before Mme Borne, Edith Cresson (1991-1992), was previously Minister of Agriculture (1981-1983), under the presidency of François Mitterrand.

Emmanuel Macron opened the ball of political visits to Porte de Versailles on Saturday, with numerous questions, on climate change but also on the highly contested pension reform, which must continue its parliamentary course this week in the Senate.
