This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to one of the commanders of the unit, Andrei Tishchenko, a former tank commander and senior sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“I got the opportunity – both for me and for my comrades who will be with me in this unit – to pay tribute,” said Tishchenko.

It is noted that contracts with volunteers will be concluded with the Russian armed forces on general terms.

To date, the unit has about 70 people, of which 95% are former Ukrainian military with combat experience.
