A report published by the Spanish "Rebelion" website stated that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has not stopped providing various types of support to Ukraine to confront Russia.

The site said that NATO has helped the Ukrainian army and trained its soldiers since Russia annexed Crimea in 2014, and that anti-Russian sanctions were approved two months before the start of the current "military operation" in Ukraine.

According to the site, NATO justified its position by the need to prevent Russian President Vladimir Putin from achieving victory because that would make everyone vulnerable, which means that supporting Kiev serves the interest and security of the West.

What Trump revealed

"Rebellion" recalled former US President Donald Trump's comment on the current situation, saying that "because of warmongers, globalization, and deep state channels in the Pentagon, the State Department, and the military-industrial complex, World War III is closer than ever."

Trump added, "One of the reasons I've been the only president in generations who haven't started a war is because I've been the only president in Washington who has rejected the disastrous recommendations of so many generals, bureaucrats, and so-called diplomats who only know how to get into conflicts without knowing how to get out of them."

Globalisation

To fix the current situation, Rebellion believes that the United States must get rid of the "corrupt globalization" that has destroyed every major foreign policy decision for decades.

The site also indicated that Vladimir Putin revealed that Moscow proposed to talk to the West at the end of 2021, despite the expansion of NATO towards the Russian borders and the increased deployment of air defense systems and military units in Europe and Asia.

He quoted Putin as saying that he had taken the decision to go to war in order to protect the population of historical Russian lands and eliminate the threat posed by what he described as "the neo-Nazi regime in Ukraine since 2014".

And against the background of NATO issuing a statement in which it demanded - de facto - acceptance of inspections at Russian nuclear and defense facilities, Putin said, "I don't even know what to call this matter. Nothing happened."

On the other hand, Western leaders criticized Russia's suspension of its participation in the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty "START 3", describing it as Russia's irresponsible nuclear rhetoric that destroys the international security system that was established after the Cold War, but it will not distract them or discourage them from supporting Ukraine.

The Russian side believes that the actions of the United States in Ukraine represent the main threat to strategic stability, and that Putin's decision has taken the United States out of the comfort zone that enables it to insist on conducting the usual inspections related to "Start 3", but while continuing its war against Russia without risks.
