The skating disco in Sävar has been a recurring event for a few years now, which usually attracts around 400 people.

This year's disco was no exception – the people of Sävar made a pilgrimage to the ice rink to move to music, in time with flashing lights.

- This is very much appreciated, especially among families with children who want to start Friday in a good way with movement, community and good music, says Per Höglund, chairman of Sävar IK Korpen.

Promotes wealth of movement

He says that the association has the "modest goal" that the people of Sävar should be Europe's most active population, and organizing a family event that promotes wealth of movement is completely in line with that.

- This is not about competing for who moves the prettiest or scores the most goals, but moving together is the thing.

Our hope is that this can spread to other parts of Västerbotten, says Per.
