The Agricultural Show opened this Saturday.

The opportunity to meet breeders and growers, but also to discover local producers.

Wine, charcuterie, cheeses, regional dishes... there is something for everyone.

And at midday, many visitors go to the stands to taste the local products.

The Salon de l'Agriculture is not just for breeders or growers.

There is also the hall of regional producers.

It's a bit of a tradition for the regulars of the show.

Around noon, the stalls turn into small restaurants and there really is something for everyone.

Europe 1 went to the stands in the Occitanie region, more specifically Tarn, where Séverin and his team have installed stools and high tables to welcome visitors.

Cheese, charcuterie, wine...

Among the dishes to discover for this first day of the show, "you have the traditional garlic soup, which has become a great classic. It is a soup based on pink garlic from Lautrec, with mayonnaise, eggs and a little vermicelli. It's very, very good", underlines Séverin.

"Then you have Ségala veal with cheese and after a little more classic, you have Lacaune charcuterie, in ham, sausage. To accompany that, there is Gaillac wine which completes the formula and you can make a 100% Tarn meal."

And as noon approaches, there are already a lot of people.

Tom and Philippe wasted no time in coming to enjoy themselves.

"The Agricultural Show is a bit of a meeting place for bon vivants. We had a small plate of charcuterie and a Gaillac wine. It was very good," smiles Tom.

"We validate 100%", adds his friend.

Show "that we can enjoy local products"

Good news for exhibitors, whose objective is to introduce visitors to their territory.

"The Tarn is a great department where we produce a lot of different things so the goal is to make people discover it and to show that we can have a 100% Tarn meal without necessarily having to look for things that come from far away and that we can enjoy local products", explains Séverin.
