The police have not yet intervened against the youths who entered the premises and sat on the floor to demonstrate.

Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen and several others do not accept that the wind turbines at Fosen in Tröndelag, Norway, are still standing.

The Norwegian Supreme Court came to the conclusion exactly 500 days ago that the wind power project was invalid and contrary to the rights of indigenous peoples.

But despite the verdict, the 150 windmills still stand in the area.

- The waterfall is just one of many things that characterize the whole of Sápmi today.

I hope that the Fosen judgment will mark a change and that it will also change the authorities' treatment of Sami and Sami issues, says Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen.

"Torn and exhausted"

She believes that it is not sustainable that the Sami should constantly have to fight for their rights.

- Many reindeer herders are worn out and exhausted, she says.

For a long time he prepared himself to take a more activist role.

- I have practiced this for many years, but never experienced what it is like to be arrested or taken away by the police.

So this will be the first time for me, says Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen, who expects the police to take them away.

In the film "La elva leva", which is about the Alta conflict that took place over 40 years ago, Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen plays the role of Ester, who is one of the Sami demonstrators who are on hunger strike at the Storting in Norway.

And now she's a protester for real.

"Have no answer"

Oil and Energy Minister Terje Aasland (Ap) came down to the lobby and met the demonstrators.

- I understand what you mean, but I have no more detailed information about what will happen with the Fosen goal other than that it must be done properly.

We have to see to it that we safeguard expatriate rights, said Terje Aasland to the group gathering.
