On Thursday, February 23, a plane crash involving a military aircraft occurred in the Belgorod region.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Su-25 attack aircraft crashed.

“After completing a combat mission, when returning to the base airfield in the Belgorod Region, a Su-25 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces crashed.

The pilot died, ”the message says.

It is noted that the attack aircraft fell in a deserted area, there is no destruction on the ground.

“According to preliminary data, the cause of the disaster was a technical malfunction,” the defense department added.

At the same time, a representative of the Valuyskaya district ambulance station told TASS that the body of the deceased pilot was found, and a military helicopter arrived to transport it.

An ambulance is at the crash site.

In addition, after the fall of the Su-25, a hay storage near a private household caught fire.

This was announced by the deputy head of the administration of the Valuysky district Sergey Slesarenko.

At the same time, according to him, there is no destruction on earth.

“The tail section of the aircraft, when skidding, hooked on the hay storage of a private household.

There was a hay fire, it was immediately extinguished, ”TASS quoted him as saying.

Initially, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced the crash.

“In the Valuysky urban district, the MO plane crashed.

An investigative team and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are currently working on the spot.

The reason for the incident is being investigated.

The situation is under control,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.

The crash of the MiG-31 in Primorye

On December 2, a MiG-31 fighter-interceptor crashed in the Nadezhdinsky district of Primorye.

Both pilots ejected.

“The flight was carried out without ammunition.

The plane crashed in a deserted place, there is no destruction on the ground.

According to preliminary information, a technical malfunction could have been the cause of the incident, ”wrote the press service of the Eastern Military District.

The fall of the Su-30 in Irkutsk

On October 23, a Su-30 aircraft crashed in Irkutsk during a test flight.

The plane crashed on a private wooden two-story house.

As the governor of the Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev reported, no one was injured among the local residents, but both pilots - honored test pilot Maxim Konyushin and test pilot third class Viktor Kryukov - died.

As noted in the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the version of a malfunction of the on-board oxygen equipment system is being checked, as a result of which both pilots could lose control of the controls while in an unconscious state.

The crash in Yeysk

On the evening of October 17, a Su-34 fighter crashed in Yeysk while climbing to perform a training flight.

The plane crashed in the courtyard of one of the residential areas, after which the fuel caught fire at the crash site.

Both pilots managed to eject and survived.

The victims of the tragic incident were 16 people.

The fall of IL-76 in Ryazan

On the night of June 24, an Il-76 military transport aircraft crashed in Ryazan during a training flight, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

The crew noticed an engine malfunction and decided to land on the ground.

Four people died and five more were injured.

The crash of the Su-25 in the Rostov region

On June 21, in the Rostov region, during a planned training flight, a Su-25 attack aircraft crashed.

As a result of the incident, the pilot died, no damage was recorded on the ground.

A commission of the Russian Aerospace Forces worked at the scene of the incident.

Previously, the cause of the crash was a technical malfunction.
