Thursday's weather will be disrupted over the southern half of the country, according to Météo-France forecasts.

Over a large southwestern quarter of the country, the rains, sustained at times, will already be present at daybreak under an overcast sky.

These precipitations will shift in the afternoon to the Gulf of Lion, and further north to the Pays de la Loire and Centre.

In the Pyrenees, the snow will be back and the rain-snow limit will be around 600 to 800 m in the west of the chain and beyond 1,200 m in the east.

Significant accumulations are expected on the west of the chain with a rain-snow limit which will drop to 300 to 400 m in the evening and following night.

On the Massif Central, it will snow from 1,500m.

It should also be noted that the rains will increase in the Cévennes in the evening.

From Brittany to Normandy and as far as Hauts-de-France, clouds and furtive clearings will share the sky throughout the day, but some showers will still be feared near the Channel coasts.

Dreary conditions between the two areas

Between these two areas, the conditions will remain gloomy, the clouds leaving little room for clearings.

Some light rain will also be expected in the east, and snowflakes may twirl over the Alps from an altitude of 1,600 m.

Corsica will stay away from this disturbed weather and the sky will alternate between clear spells and cloudy periods.

The northeast wind will be sensitive over Brittany and the Channel coasts with gusts between 60 and 70 km/h.

The sailor and the Autan wind will pick up in the afternoon with peaks at 60 to 80 km/h.

The minimums will be between 2 and 6 degrees in the interior of the country, between 7 and 10 degrees on the Corsican and Mediterranean coast.

The maximum will reach 9 to 13 degrees in general over the country, and up to 14 to 17 degrees around the Mediterranean and in the Rhône valley.
