While China has again denied providing military support to Russia, Beijing says it has a peace plan for Ukraine to present to Vladimir Putin and wants to mediate.

The main objective: to build a long-term common security community.

In the midst of a controversy over Chinese arms supplies to Russia, China again denied providing military support to the Russians on Tuesday.

Beijing, which is trying to ignite a counter-fire with the publication of a white paper on global security and the announcement of a peace plan to put an end to the war in Ukraine.

"Building a Common Security Community"

The new Chinese Foreign Minister cut his teeth on Tuesday in front of the press and the entire diplomatic corps gathered in Beijing.

He presented this initiative for global security, a white paper and a catch-all concept in which China defends the principle of non-interference and dialogue rather than military alliances and economic sanctions.

Or the opposite of the measures taken by Western countries against Russia.

"President Xi Jinping solemnly proposed this initiative, which adheres to the concept of comprehensive and enduring security, with the long-term goal of building a common security community," said Qin Gang, the foreign minister.

It is with this white paper in the luggage that the special representative of the Chinese president is this Wednesday in Moscow.

Beijing says it has a peace plan for Ukraine to present to Vladimir Putin and wants to mediate.

But accusations of arms deliveries to Moscow, even denied by Beijing, and China's increasingly visible support for Russia make this mission almost impossible.
