According to the news released by the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Agency, at 20:04 on the same day, a 6.4-magnitude earthquake occurred in Hatay Province, Turkey, with the epicenter in the Devne area of the province; at 20:07, another 5.8-magnitude earthquake occurred in Hatay Province, Turkey The earthquake, with its epicenter in the Samanda district.
Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Agency issued a warning that the two earthquakes may cause sea levels to rise by 50 centimeters, reminding people to stay away from the coastline.
Damascus, Aleppo, Latakia, Hama and other provinces in Syria also felt the earthquake strongly, and mobile phone signals were temporarily interrupted in some areas.
Syria's National Earthquake Monitoring Center said buildings damaged by recent strong earthquakes were at risk of collapse.
