“The President of Russia submitted to the State Duma a draft federal law “On the suspension by the Russian Federation of the operation of the Treaty between the Russian Federation and the United States of America on measures to further reduce and limit strategic offensive weapons,” Volodin said.
According to him, the State Duma deputies will consider the relevant document on February 22.
On February 21, Russian leader Vladimir Putin announced that Russia was suspending its participation in the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty.
Moscow does not withdraw from the agreement, namely, it suspends its participation, the President noted.
