France concerned about Russia's readiness to conduct nuclear tests if they start in the United States

This is stated in a message on the website of the French Foreign Ministry.

The French side recalled the importance of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty.

Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin, in his speech to the Federal Assembly, said that the Ministry of Defense and the state corporation Rosatom should be ready to test nuclear weapons if the United States is the first to do so.
