Program of the agricultural show 2023

The show is one of the largest events at the Parc des Expositions and takes up all the space available.

To find your way more easily, the park has been divided into four universes.

The plan is available on the show's website.

Breeding and its sectors

It is in this universe that the different animals related to breeding are presented, as well as farm animals.

It is also in this universe that the various agricultural competitions take place (which, this year, will probably not see representatives from Aveyron).

- Pavilion 1: Cattle, sheep, pigs, goats

-Pavilion 2.1: Dogs and cats

-Pavilion 4: Educational farm

-Pavilion 5.2: Breedings of the world

-Pavilion 6: Horses and donkeys

Crops and plant sectors

Presentation of the large culture, of all the products which can be gardened in France, as well as of the gardening.

This space is available in pavilion 2.2.

Agricultural services and professions

The leaders of the agricultural world are gathered in pavilion 4 to present five sectors of the field:

-Agri'Tech

-Agri'Recruit

-Woods and forest

-Environment and energies

- Sea and fresh water

Products from the regions of France, Overseas and the World

Located in different pavilions, this universe brings together all the gastronomic products of the region and many restaurants to discover the flavors of France, overseas and the world.

-Pavilion 2.1: Rural heritage of France

-Pavilion 3 and 7.1: Products and flavors of France

-Pavilion 5.1 and 5.2: Agricultures of the world and their products

-Pavilion 5.2: Overseas products and flavors

The General Agricultural Competition

The Concours Général Agricole was established in 1870 and since then has rewarded the best in animal genetics and French products.

It allows French local products, dairy products, wines and animal breeders to benefit from additional recognition and to distinguish future professionals in the sector.

The competition was divided into three categories.

Animal CGA

Eight species can be represented during the general animal competition:

-Asine (Donkeys)

-Bovine (Oxen)

-Canine (Dogs)

-Caprine (Goats)

-Equine (Horses)

-Ovine (Sheep)

-Pig (Pigs)

-Feline (Cats)

Animals are judged on their morphology and their compliance with officially established breed standards.

In 2022, 1448 breeders represented 2035 animals of 352 different breeds.

CGA of products and wines

The general competition for products and wines allows the various products presented to be judged according to their sensory characteristics and taste qualities.

The jury is made up of professionals,

of well-informed producers, traders, distributors and consumers.

No less than 33 categories are judged by these professionals.

For the wines, fourteen wine regions are represented and only 25% of the wines are awarded medals at the end of the competition.

Young Professionals Competition

This competition makes it possible in particular to detect and train future professionals in the agri-food sector thanks to five competitions:

-International Trophy for agricultural education

-Animal judging contest

-European competition for young wine professionals

-Equi-Trait Challenge

-Young Jury competition for agro-ecological practices
