Today, Monday, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq received Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his accompanying delegation on an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
According to the Omani News Agency, the Sultan of Oman and the Syrian President held an official session of talks at Al-Baraka Palace.
They also reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and areas of joint cooperation, in addition to exchanging views on all developments on the regional and international arenas.
The Omani agency indicated that the Syrian president left the country earlier this evening, concluding his "working visit to the Sultanate of Oman."
For its part, the Syrian presidency said that Al-Assad made a working visit to the Sultanate of Oman, during which he met Sultan Haitham bin Tariq.
