Video footage showed the moment of the new earthquake at Hatay Airport in southern Turkey, which hit the city again on Monday evening.

The clip reveals panic among the passengers at the airport, some of them trying to get out of the departures hall, and some of them took sitting or bending positions next to the chairs as a precaution for any collapses in the building.

Two new earthquakes measuring 6.4 and 5.8 on the Richter scale struck the state of Hatay in southern Turkey this evening, and their effects spread to the regions of northern Syria, as they were felt by the residents of Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine and Egypt.

Al-Jazeera correspondent Omar Al-Hajj from Antakya in Hatay state (southern Turkey) reported hearing the sound of building collapses in the city.

These two earthquakes come two weeks after an earthquake struck southern Turkey and northern Syria, with a magnitude of 7.7 on the Richter scale, followed by another hours later with a magnitude of 7.6, followed by thousands of violent aftershocks, which left huge losses of lives and property in both countries.

The total death toll from the first quake has exceeded 46,000, and many are still believed to be missing.
