New earthquake in Turkey, in the already bruised province of Hatay

A new earthquake, measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale, was felt on Monday February 20, 2023 in the already devastated south of Turkey.
The epicenter is located in the locality of Defne, province of Hatay.
The tremor occurred at 8:04 p.m. local time (5:04 p.m. UT).

According to the teams of Agence France-Presse, this new earthquake was felt in Antakya (Antioch), about fifteen minutes from the epicenter by car in normal times, but also in Adana, 200 kilometers further north by compared to Defne.
