"While pre-season cycling training in Spain, Lance Stroll was involved in a minor accident and suffered injuries which will prevent him from taking part in pre-season testing in Bahrain," the report said. British team in a statement.

Three months after the last Grand Prix of the 2022 season in Abu Dhabi, F1 returns to the track from Thursday for three days of testing on the Sakhir circuit, the scene of the first Grand Prix of the year.

For the time being, Aston Martin has not indicated whether it will call on its reserve drivers, the Brazilian Felipe Drugovich and the Belgian Stoffel Vandoorne, to replace Stroll during these three days of testing.

The Spaniard Fernando Alonso, who arrived this season from Alpine, could also run these tests alone.
