And the official Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported, quoting a source in the Damascus Police Command, that there were deaths and injuries as a result of the Israeli aggression on residential neighborhoods in Damascus, as an Israeli raid targeted residential buildings in Damascus after midnight, Saturday, Sunday, causing deaths and injuries, according to the Syrian Agency, quoting a statement. A source in the Metropolitan Police, without specifying the number.

The raid targeted the Kafr Souseh neighborhood in central Damascus, at a time when correspondents for the French Press Agency reported hearing violent explosions at 12:30 local time (21:30 GMT), followed by the sounds of ambulances rushing to the targeted location.

And the Syrian News Agency reported that the air defense means confronted hostile targets in the sky of the capital.

For years, the sites of the Syrian regime forces and militias affiliated with Iran in Syria have been subjected to repeated Israeli bombardment, and Israel says that it wants to prevent what it calls the Iranian military entrenchment there.
