Macron: France never wanted to defeat Russia and will never support such a position

According to him, there is a need for a Ukrainian offensive that would "shake the Russian front" and force Moscow "to return to the negotiating table."

At the same time, Macron noted that Ukraine will not be able to regain its borders on its own and none of the parties to the conflict will be able to fully win.

Earlier, Emmanuel Macron announced the need to rearm Europe to ensure its security.

The French leader also acknowledged that sustainable peace in Europe cannot be achieved without Russia.
