• Sexist crime Arrested the suspect of killing his ex-partner with a strong blow to the head in Baiona (Pontevedra)

The detainee for the crime in

Baiona (Pontevedra)

has confessed this Friday to having killed his ex-wife,

Beatriz

, with a knife and an ax, on the night of February 5, as explained by his lawyer after appearing before the judge.

Ángel RD

has appeared before the

Vigo Court for Violence against Women number 1

where he was subjected to interrogation and, after having remained silent since his arrest 11 days ago, finally answered the judge's questions.

As his lawyer, Saúl Vidal

, explained to the press

, the defendant stated in his statement that he had used an ax between 30 and 40 centimeters with a wooden handle, with which, according to the autopsy, he hit his ex on the head and mother of his two children causing his death.

Ángel RD has also recounted having thrown the ax somewhere in the mountains that he does not remember.

He has also confessed to having used a kitchen knife of about ten centimeters, between the edge and the handle, with which he caused puncture wounds on the victim's body and which is already in the possession of the Civil Guard.

He now faces a crime of murder, plus two other crimes against the moral integrity of the couple's two minor children.

His lawyer has asked that the extenuating circumstances of outburst, obstinacy and confession be recognized.

It is to be assumed that, soon, before the court of the jury, there will be an agreement and a sentence will be imposed that will lead him to prison, judicial sources have indicated.

The day before, he took the two children he had with the victim back to his mother's house after spending the weekend with them, and there, allegedly, he hit her on the head with a blunt object, as determined by the autopsy, and caused various puncture wounds to his body with a knife, which was found by the Civil Guard at the crime scene.

Since then, the person investigated has refused to testify and the first time he appeared in court, the magistrate determined that he be transferred to the

He was discharged the following day and sent back to judicial offices.

There, the magistrate, after the accused refused to speak again, determined his admission to prison.

Biological samples were taken from this man on this day for his subsequent comparison.

The
