“We are signing a partial agreement here, which is another step towards integration, which, in my opinion, should not have been suspended in any way,” RIA Novosti quoted Petro as saying during the event.
He noted that the agreement would remove trade barriers that could exist between the countries.
According to Maduro, with this action, "two brotherly nations start political, economic, trade and demographic dynamics in a new way."
Earlier, Maduro announced the full opening of the borders with Colombia from January 1.
