A man, suspected of being one of the two passengers in Pierre Palmade's car who fled after the accident, was arrested in Clichy, in the Hauts-de-Seine.

A woman, who was staying with him, was also arrested at his home.

The man arrested in Clichy had not denounced himself to the police, added one of these sources.

On Tuesday, a 47-year-old man who identified himself as one of the passengers and was taken into custody admitted lying.

Pierre Palmade's accident took place on Friday around 7 p.m. on the D372 at Villiers-en-Bière, in the south of Seine-et-Marne.

The car of the star comedian, who was driving under the influence of cocaine, collided with another vehicle which was coming in front.

Besides the comedian, three people were seriously injured, including a 6-year-old child and a 27-year-old pregnant woman who lost her baby.
