“The militants left their positions in a hurry”: the Russian Defense Ministry announced the breakthrough of the defense line of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the LPR

The Russian military broke through the defenses of the Ukrainian troops in the Luhansk People's Republic, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The department also published footage of the stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, occupied by military personnel of the Central Military District (CMD).

As follows from the message of the Russian Ministry of Defense, during the offensive of the military personnel of the Central Military District, Ukrainian troops randomly retreated at a distance of up to 3 km from the previously occupied lines.

“The breakthrough of the Russian military personnel was not kept even by the more fortified second line of defense of the enemy.

Ukrainian militants left their positions in a hurry, not having time to pick up military property and the bodies of their dead, ”the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

As noted in the defense department, during the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the area was remotely mined with NATO-style anti-personnel mines.

However, Russian motorized rifles successfully entrenched themselves on the occupied lines and continued offensive operations.

Fortifications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Krasnolimansky direction

Retired LPR Lieutenant Colonel Andrey Marochko, a military expert, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are building new fortifications and building a layered defense in the Krasnolimansky direction.

Volodymyr Rogov, chairman of the “We are with Russia” movement, said that Ukrainian troops were preparing an attempt to cut the land corridor to Crimea.

The representative office of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) announced 21 cases of firing by Ukrainian troops over the past day.

The enemy shelled Donetsk, Zaitsevo, Gorlovka, Makeevka and Yasinovatsky district from artillery.

A total of 85 units of various ammunition were fired.

According to updated data, as a result of these events, eight civilians were injured, including two teenagers born in 2008 and 2009.

Mayor of Donetsk Aleksey Kulemzin said that as a result of the shelling by terrorists of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of Budyonnovsky and Proletarsky districts of Donetsk, a hospital and residential buildings were damaged.
