“The legality of unilateral US sanctions against Iran is dubious from the point of view of international law, as is the legality of their extraterritorial application,” the UNHCHR website said in a statement.

It is noted that Iran was denied the supply of drugs from the leading supplier, the Swiss pharmaceutical group Novartis, and key ingredients for these drugs, produced by the French company Roquette Frères.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that the G7 countries are discussing possible sanctions against companies from China, Iran and North Korea.

According to the G7, some of the organizations may cooperate with Russia and provide it with components and technologies potentially used for military purposes.
