“NORAD detected, tracked, accurately identified and intercepted four aircraft that intruded into the Alaska air defense identification zone and were in it on February 13,” RIA Novosti reports.

It is noted that the Russian aircraft were in international airspace without entering the airspace of the United States or Canada.

It is clarified that these flights are not related to recent operations by NORAD or the US military related to the detection of unidentified aircraft in the sky over the US and Canada.

Earlier it became known that two Tu-95MS strategic missile carriers completed a scheduled seven-hour flight over the neutral waters of the Bering Sea.
