According to "Parliamentskaya Gazeta" with reference to the author of the initiative, a member of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications Anton Nemkin, the relevant bill is under consideration by the Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of Economic Development.

According to him, the current benefits are focused mainly on companies that develop software and are aimed at programmers.

However, the industry is not limited to the creation of software - Nemkin emphasized that in the current conditions, issues of information security and management of complex computing infrastructure come to the fore.

“The lack of equal state support in various areas of the IT industry can lead to disproportionate development in their quality, which will inevitably lead to a general slowdown in development,” the report says.

Earlier, the Russian authorities expanded the possibility of obtaining a mortgage loan under a preferential program for IT specialists, and also softened salary requirements.

Acceptance of applications for preferential mortgages for IT-specialists has already begun.
