“Ukraine needs between $40 billion and $48 billion in funding this year to keep its economy functioning,” Bloomberg quoted her as saying.

According to Georgieva, the IMF is working in cooperation with the US and the EU on a program for Ukraine and supporting the country in running a "war economy."

Earlier, Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance Olga Zykova said that Ukraine needs constant financial assistance from external sources, the monthly need is about $3 billion.

At the end of December, Ukraine received a $2 billion grant from the United States through a World Bank Trust Fund. 

It also became known that the G7 provided $32.7 billion in assistance to the budget of Ukraine in 2022.
