He said this after talks in Paris with French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna, TASS reports.

According to him, Hungary would like to see a ceasefire and start peace talks in Ukraine immediately.

At the same time, he stated that the position of France and all other European countries differs from the Hungarian one.

Szijjártó specified that Western countries “expect that more favorable conditions may arise in terms of the military situation for the start of negotiations” for Kyiv.

Earlier, the political adviser to the Prime Minister of Hungary, Balazs Orban, said that Budapest was ready to be a partner of Kyiv in achieving peace, but not in the supply of weapons, despite the demands of the Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.
