He noted that such reports "cause deep concern", and the United States "fully supports the government and people of Moldova."

At the same time, he was asked if the United States had information, including from intelligence, that would confirm Sandu's claims.

“I am not aware of any independent confirmation,” he said.

Earlier, Maia Sandu expressed confidence that “attacks are being prepared” against the country, because the opposition is allegedly striving for a change of power.

According to Sandu, the purpose of "sabotage is to overthrow the constitutional order in order to transfer the country to the disposal of Russia."

Deputies of the Moldovan opposition Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS) demanded that the President of Moldova provide evidence of preparations for destabilizing the situation in the country.
