SVR: US has already recruited 60 militants in Syria for terrorist attacks in Russia and CIS countries

“In January of this year, 60 such terrorists with experience of participating in hostilities in the Middle East were selected.

They are currently undergoing accelerated training at the American base at Al-Tanf in Syria," the service said in a release.

According to the SVR, they are trained on the basis of the skills of making and using improvised explosive devices, as well as methods of conducting sabotage and subversive activities.

"Particular attention is paid to the planning of attacks on well-guarded facilities, including foreign diplomatic missions," the service said.

Earlier, the Foreign Intelligence Service announced plans for the United States to send militants to Russia and other CIS countries to carry out terrorist attacks.
