"Ukraine is not a member of the FATF and is not authorized to make proposals for membership in relation to other FATF member states," Herman Neglyad, State Secretary - Deputy Director of Rosfinmonitoring, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Thus, he commented on the call of the Minister of Finance of Ukraine, Serhiy Marchenko, to exclude Russia from the FATF and blacklist it.

According to Neglyad, unfounded accusations are once again being voiced, which are a direct abuse of FATF procedures.

Earlier, the head of Rosfinmonitoring, Yuri Chikhanchin, said that Russia remains committed to strict compliance with its obligations in the field of combating criminal proceeds.

He stressed that Russia, over 20 years of membership in the Financial Action Task Force on Money Laundering, has become one of the most developed anti-money laundering regimes in the world.
