In an NHK poll, 49% of respondents said they felt uneasy about the security of the area they live in, with robberies occurring one after another all over the country. People were 45%.

NHK conducted a poll for three days from the 10th of this month using a method called ``RDD'' that calls randomly generated landline and mobile phone numbers by computer for people over the age of 18 nationwide.

A total of 2,483 people were surveyed, and 1,229 people, or 50%, responded.

When asked if they felt uneasy about the security of their area, 11% said they were "a lot", 38% said "somewhat", and 37% said "not much". 8% answered “I don’t feel it at all”.

Regarding the treated water containing radioactive substances such as tritium at the Tokyo Electric Power Company Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, the government plans to release it into the sea after diluting it to a concentration below the national standard from spring to summer.


When asked about their pros and cons, 27% said they agreed, 24% said they were against, and 41% said they couldn't say either way.
