Liberal Democratic Party Secretary-General Motegi said that it would be desirable to submit lawmakers' legislation to promote understanding of LGBT people to the Diet as soon as possible. He expressed hope that coordination within the party and between the ruling and opposition parties will progress.

In the year before, there was a lack of consensus within the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) regarding legislative legislation aimed at promoting understanding of LGBT people, and the submission of the bill to the Diet was postponed. I'm looking for a fix for the wording that it won't.

Regarding this, LDP Secretary-General Motegi said at a press conference, "I believe that there should be no unfair discrimination or prejudice based on sexual orientation or gender identity. It is important to promote understanding of sexual minorities. It is desirable that the bill be submitted to the Diet as soon as possible."

After that, he said, ``I would like you to continue to make adjustments within the party and between the ruling and opposition parties, including the wording of the bill, considering the nature of the bill as a lawmaker.''
