The municipality of Nyköping wants to receive reports of concern as early as possible in order to be able to make social interventions early, before the child becomes eligible for a family home placement.
In 2022, the municipality's social services received 2,852 reports of concern, which is an increase of 22 percent compared to the previous year.
Great need for family homes
The need for family homes in Nyköping is still very great, and it is a situation that many other municipalities share.
Around a hundred children and young people are currently placed in family homes in the municipality of Nyköping.
