It was thanks to islanders who discovered packages that had floated ashore that the tangle could be revealed and on Monday the first day of negotiations began in the Gothenburg district court.

According to the investigation, two Swedish citizens led the drug business from hiding places outside Europe.

Two other people who are described as having a leading role in various criminal networks in Gothenburg were responsible for receiving, storing and transporting the cocaine.

Admitted during the trial

The indictments concern, among other things, extremely serious drug crimes in various parts, as well as aiding and abetting extremely serious drug smuggling.

All the suspects had denied the crime before the trial.

But during the hearing, one of them admitted.
