It was during the years 2020 to 2021 that the woman sent in bills for trips to various places around Västerbotten County.

During the period in question, she would help with matters connected to job seekers in several locations and therefore have to travel a lot.

But after an investigation it has now emerged that almost all the trips she registered were made up.

"The vast majority want to do the right thing"

Regional manager Christina Storm Wiklander takes the case seriously and says that they have investigated how it could all have happened and added a competence development effort.

- Our attitude is still that we want to trust our employees.

The vast majority want to do the right thing, she says.

The woman admits that she received compensation to which she was not entitled, but only for two-thirds of the trips in question.

In addition, there is no documentation that the woman claims to have brought in by hand, which violates both internal instructions and the law regarding documentation.

She herself explains the actions by pointing to an unsustainable and pressured work situation.
