Xinhua News Agency, Beirut, February 12 (Zhang Zhe and Li Zhulin) On February 11, local time, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) was in the 21st batch of Chinese peacekeeping multifunctional engineers in Lebanon located in Siniya Village in southern Lebanon. An exercise code-named "Tiger-2023" was held in the detachment camp, and Chinese peacekeepers and soldiers successfully completed the emergency evacuation drill for UNIFIL employees and their families.

  This exercise, against the backdrop of large-scale conflicts breaking out in the mission area, the serious deterioration of the security situation, and the reception, protection, and transfer of UNIFIL employees and their families by the Chinese peacekeeping force, aims to test the security guarantee capabilities of the Chinese peacekeeping force.

The exercise lasted for 3 hours. The Chinese peacekeeping team mobilized more than 100 officers and soldiers and 10 vehicles and equipment, and successfully completed 8 subject drills including emergency avoidance, camp defense, and armed escort.

  At 8 a.m., the command post of the Chinese peacekeeping force immediately sounded the air defense alarm after receiving the order from the UNIFIL headquarters, and switched to the first-level alert state.

The security alert team asked for weapons and ammunition to quickly enter the sentry post. The forward rescue team dispatched armored infantry vehicles and armored ambulances to rescue personnel. The camp gate inspection team checked the identities of employees and their families and accepted them into the camp. Food and medical care are provided for military employees and their families.

  At 11:05, the last employee arrived safely at the camp. The UNIFIL staff gave lectures on safety knowledge and emergency avoidance, and then led the employees and their families to visit the bunker and took a group photo. The exercise officially ended.

  The exercise was directed by the UNIFIL Command, organized and implemented by the Chinese peacekeeping force, and more than 60 peacekeepers and more than 20 employees from 10 countries including Italy, Ireland and Poland participated.
