The 21-year-old man was sentenced a year ago to eight years in prison for attempted murder together with another 20-year-old.

They were both then considered to have tricked two other men into a trap in Ryd in the fall of 2021.

The incident ended with a young man being shot in the face.

The bullet went through cheek to cheek and coroners described it as a "miracle" that the man survived the shot.

Acquitted of shooting

However, the Court of Appeal changed the sentence and acquitted the 21-year-old completely of the suspicions of attempted murder.

Recently, the man received just over SEK 270,000 in compensation for the time he was deprived of his liberty.

Now the same man is in custody reasonably suspected of serious weapons crime and preparation for murder in Handen, Haninge municipality, south of Stockholm.

In the same case, a 23-year-old is also in custody suspected of the same crime.

He is also registered in Linköping, but according to SVT's review, he has previously been unpunished.

Connections to X-team

The 21-year-old has previously been linked to X-team.

Among other things, he appears in pictures from a memorial service for the gang leader who was shot to death at a restaurant in Skäggetorp in August 2021. Several high-profile members of the criminal motorcycle gang Bandidos attended the same service.

SVT Nyheter Öst is looking for the prosecutor in the case.
