Listen to the sequel to Grandma Till-Mobley's fight for justice after the death of her son Emmett Till, lynched at the age of 14 in the context of segregation in the United States, in the 1950s. Three days after whistling a white grocer in Money, a small town in Mississippi, Emmett is beaten to death by the woman's husband and brother-in-law.

Then in full mourning, Grandma Till obtains the repatriation of the corpse of her son to Chicago.

The undertakers deliver him a closed box under the crackling of the flashes of the photographers.

The death of Emmett Till is a brutal revealer: Americans are becoming aware of the reality of life for blacks in the South of the United States where "Jim Crow" laws have been authoritative since the abolition of slavery.

We are in Chicago at the beginning of September 1955. Grandma Till demands that Mr. Rayner, the funeral director, open the "box" in which her son lies.

Grandma Till then sees how violently her child was murdered.

She knew that there were lynchings in the South of the United States.
